Self-description

I am an aspiring 2D artist. I love drawing and my core interest is in creating original characters. In addition, I am also passionate about working on environment design projects that involve concept art and ideas. Projects that I was involved in have made me explore an array of different kind of mediums and styles which I can replicate into both digital and traditional art. Enjoy taking lead and being organized, I have taken up the role of scrum master on top of being an artist, in my final year project team. I am a fast learner and constantly seek new ways to explore art, I am self-learning Typography methods in Photoshop.

During the Global Game Jam 2013 held in Singapore, I volunteered to participate as a background artist to gain more experience in the field of game design¬. The goal of Global Game Jam was to create a game, as a group, in 48 hours. The tight deadline for submission has enabled me to work efficiently as a group under pressure. We made use of a variety of programmes to complete the task, such as Photoshop and Game Maker. This challenging degree of experience has brought about a deep sense of achievement.



Being determined and having a positive working attitude, I was given recognition from Ministry of Education to be chosen amongst 40 students to receive the Academic Excellence Award in 2006 and to be promoted from Normal Technical stream to Normal Academic Steam.

As problem based-learning is greatly emphasized in Republic Polytechnic, I have adapted and acquired the skills necessary to tackle problems in any situations. This has also influenced me to become a highly motivated team player with excellent problem solving skills.
